About the Contest
Beginning Monday, July 28, the Connecticut Lodging Association (CLA) and the Governor’s Office will sponsor a series of two-week essay contests, during which people are welcome to write “How I Spent My Connecticut Staycation” in essay form.
Each contest will run for two weeks, with the winners announced by the Governor at the end of that period. The CLA will provide the winning essay with a “Staycation” prize. Once that contest is concluded, another one will start up immediately for the next two weeks. This will continue through the end of summer.

Contest Rules
The essay should be no more than 250 words and reflect Connecticut residents families (with their kids) vacationing IN Connecticut. The essay should be written in Microsoft Word (or similar, text based, program) and submitted as an email attachment; or, with the browse form above. Include your name and daytime phone number.
First Essay Prize
Package is donated by the Greater New Haven CVB (Convention & Visitors Bureau). A stay at the Clarion Hotel & Suites in Hamden . Package is available for others @ $199.00 by contacting the hotel directly.
